Project Connect brings students to SPCO Concerts, provides a pre-concert in-school educational session, and provides support for the in-school workshops for the Musicians of the SPCO.
Is your school interested in attending an SPCO Concert?
The Friends of the SPCO would love to connect you to music! For many students, a visit to the SPCO is their first time at an orchestral concert.
Tickets for the SPCO concert are free for all students. Choose a concert and contact the box office. Many schools prefer the Friday morning concerts during school hours.
- Reserve your free group tickets at: groupsales@spcomail.org
- Contact the Friends’ at Inez.bergquist@gmail.com to set up a time for musicians to visit your school before the concert and inquire about busing.
- Attend the Concert and enjoy the sounds of a world class orchestra.
We can especially recommend the April 10, 2026 concert at 11 am at the Ordway Music Theatre, as it is geared towards our young audience members and will feature Andrew Brady, bassoon, and Sang Yoon Kim, clarinet.
In-School Workshops with SPCO Musicians
This year, in-school workshops included string and woodwind residencies at Saint Paul Public Schools, Mounds View, and South Washington County school districts. SPCO musicians performed for and taught over seven hundred students in 7-12th grade.
